I have installed a clean copy of Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100 on my laptop. Whether I am connected to the network using a lan or wireless connection after waking my computer up from sleep I can't get any connection to work.

The wireless shows a limited connection and the wired shows a cable connected by no network connection.

As soon as I restart or shut down/reboot both or either connection restarts automatically and the Internet works.

This is really inconvenient when using a laptop on the move. Any one got any ideas??

Thanks,

I am having this problem on my desktop - the first I realised of it was yesterday.

I wonder if something can be done in the energy saving settings?

I am having the same problem... on clean install... I've found the only way to fix it is to disable sleep (High performance mode)... but I want sleep enabled.. please help someone.

Same problem with clean installs of Windows 7 Home Premium. When computer wakes up from sleep mode, I can't connect to other computers in Homegroup on my wireless network. Tried the following without success:

  • Disabling firewalls (NIS 2010)
  • Updating Intel wireless 4965AGN drivers
  • Update firmware on dLink DIR-655 wireless router
I can still ping other computers and connect to the Internet. Needless to say, this problem didn't happen in Vista. Reboot fixes all problems.
