no programs will run after a sudden crash.

i was watching a video on Google Chrome when my computer suddenly went blank and restarted itself.after logging in i noticed none of my regular start up programs started, and whenever i tried to open any .exe nothing would happen. this is a desktop computer that is fairly new (6months)

i have tried without success:

clean booting
system restore (i made no restore points)
importing various regedit files
creating another account (no response when clicked)

all of the other threads on google seem like they were all fixed with system restore or reformatting with the windows disc; which neither are an option for me.


any help would be greatly appreciated
