Ok, welcome everybody, my name is Tommy. I have a huge problem about installing windows so i will write down everything. Already a couple of days trying to install a new Windows (W7) and boot Windows normally and pass the Windows logo and one comes to the blue image and then the setup should appear but nothing. Just standing and standing. In fact, I had trouble installing Windows 7 because we talked error code 5 so I found a fix and managed to install os. Now he does not want to appear on Win7 setup or even on Vista. I tried to remove and replace the cables but that did not help. I'm desperate, I do not know what more to do.

Specs: Windows 7 x64
RAM: 3GB
Processor: AMD X2 250 OC 3.3
GPU: HD5670 1GB

Please help me: (

Hi Tommy. Welcome to 7 Forums. Let me ask you this. Are you trying to do a dual boot with Vista and 7, or a clean install of just 7 by itself? If that is the case, try following the steps in this great tutorial by gregrocker for clean installs.

Since you already have the installation DVD then you can skip the steps about downloading the Windows 7 iso and use your own disk.

Another thought. You may want to use the clean command in diskpart on your installation HDD, before trying to install Windows 7. There have been times when I've had problems with Windows installing on a disk that previously had another OS on it and after using the Clean Command first, it installed perfectly. For running the clean command from your installation DVD, follow the steps outlined by Brink in the link below.
