"No Signal" on monitor

I'm not fully sure if it's a gpu problem or not, but it sure as hell is my best guess. Basically, I was on my computer (I have no idea how this happened, but it did) The wireless network adapter fell off my motherboard while the computer was running. Don't ask how, because it was screwed in, and I have no idea how it happened, but it did.

When it fell out of the motherboard, it didn't hit anything, it was still there, but it was out of the socket. Anyways, when it fell out, my computer turned off. I'm like, oh great, this probably screwed everything up. So I took it out and tried to turn on my computer.

I turned it on, but I noticed that it was making less sound than usual. Usually, you can tell when my pc is turned on, but now for some reason when I turn it on, it seems very quite.

Not only this, but the computer turns on, everything seems to be working, all of the fans are spinning, but I get no signal on my monitor. Which makes me think it's a gpu problem. But I don't get how it would be the gpu if the thing that fell out was the wireless network adapter.

Do you know how to clear CMOS . Try clearing that it might help when something like that occurs.

That was the first thing I tried; It did nothing. I think it may be the graphics card because that would be my best guess for getting "no signal."

You say it makes less noise, is the fan spinning on the GPU ?

Plug the monitor directly into the motherboard, see if you get a picture.

The fans a spinning, but the system in general is just more quite. Also, I can't plug my motherboard into my monitor. My motherboard has a female vga cable output where my monitor has a male vga cable input

Monitor Supports - HDMI, VGA, and Component cables. I tried using the component cables, but I still got "no signal"

its looks like your mainboard just short circuited as your pc turn off when your wireless network adaptor was fell from your mainboard. my best opinion is to replace your mainboard, hope this help.

This is what my original thought was, but than I thought that it was like a series circuit. You know, because the adapter fell out, it shorted out the motherboard, which caused the gpu to screw itself over, and so on.

So, are you sure it's the motherboard? My parents don't want to buy stuff and then have to return it.

well, best try to check your GPU, Mainboard, and other componens to other computer. the part you need to replace is the one didn't work on the other computer.
