Hi urisa and welcome to W7 Forums

The reason why the Realtek driver isn't working is because your board doesn't have Realtek audio. The device info you provided, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4370&SUBSYS_3009103C&REV_02, points to ATI when checked here: PCI Vendor and Device Lists

It could be that the ALC665 uses the Realtek HD driver and not the AC'97, which you can find links to the latest version here,

http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-audio/3756-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version.html

if you haven't tried it yet.

I already tried to install "Realtek HD driver" But when I try to install it gives me an error message "Device can not be found".

I'm sure that is my device because it's what was written in the specifications of the computer, and as you saw it also appears in everest.
And here's a motherboard chip image:

That is definitely a Realtek chip, and it is AC'97.

The latest driver (and it is quite old) can be found here: Realtek

Once downloaded (and I note that you already have downloaded it, but do so again in case the copy you have is corrupted), take a look at this to see if you can install the driver that way instead: Device Manager - Install Driver - Vista Forums

I already downloaded and installed this version and still have problems with the sound,
At least now I can record audio, microphone works,
I can see the bar jumps in the sound properties (recording) while I'm talking.
But still can not hear sound from the speakers or headphones when playing music.:(

Thanks for helping.

Check the front panel connections on the motherboard header. In contrast to HD headers, where it doesn't matter if a panel is connected or not, AC'97 headers require a front panel to be connected (or jumpers inserted) so that audio reaches the rear panel.

Do you have a live version of Linux, such as Ubuntu, that you can fire up and see if you have sound there? Don't worry, this won't affect your Windows installation. This way, we can rule out possible hardware issues.

yes, i have a live ubuntu cd, I am already run the live cd and try to play sound and I do not hear anything,
in the sound properties (ubuntu) there are all various possibilities like:
Analog Sound
Analog Sound 5.1
Analog Sound 5.1 + Digital Sound
Digital Sound
Digital Sound 5.1
etc.

I tried several options and still not hear anything.

Question:
it is possible to ask people to exporting the Registry entries to a file who had managed to solve such problems?
Because I saw that a lot of people who have the same problems like mine and they were able to to solve it.
They simply have a different sound chip (realtek alc655, adi1888, etc.) but the same base (AC'97 Audio)?

Solved??

Solved??? I had same problem few moments ago, all installed n all playing on win 7, but no sound! Solution is to download drivers from motherboard producer site for XP and "cheat" windows 7 to install it: Device menager, select device, right click on update driver
software, browse my computer manually, let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, have disk, and sarch for suitable .inf (x64) file in software u downloaded (Xp drivers). good luck :)

My Fist forum post :)

Hmmmm, i cant remember exactly the hardware, it was my neighbor pc that i was installing windows 7 long ago but sound still works fine or he would complain! Does it work fine on windows xp? Just download xp driver that works n install on windows 7 if there are no drivers for windows 7. Also pay attention that driver is made for 64 or 32bit system, depends what Windows you have.

Ok , check me out :

1. I have MSI MS-7050 motherboard
2. i tried both of the drivers ( xp , 7 ) , neither works
3. my soundcard , regarding what device manager says , works just fine
4. when i go to speaker properties , everything is fine except Jack information ( it says NO JACK INFORMATION)
5. My speakers works fine , i tested them with other devices and they are ok

I don't know what to try anymore , i searched a lot of forums and opinions and this issue is very common , i didn't manage to find an answer , you are the only one with the same motherboard specs , i heard another guy have the same incorporated sound card , and in linux works , but in windows NO.

I checkd, this was PC with Asus motherboard, AC'97 sound with ADI AD1888 codec, n ur is AC'97 using the Realtek ALC655 codec but problem was the same!

The drivers are OK. You don't have continuity from the sound chip to the 1/8" green jack. On the photo earlier, no connector is installed at AUD_1. If you're like me, and bought the motherboard on eBay, you don't have this connector.

AUD_1

2 4 6 x 10
1 3 5 7 9

Get some motherboard jumpers and jump 5-6 and 9-10. You'll get sound then.
