Hi everyone.

I have a problem with the sound on my computer. At startup there's no sound, and there's a red cross across the symbol down in the right corner. When i click on the icon, the troubleshooter starts, and after 30 seconds or so, there's sound again. What can I do, to get sound immediately, when I start my computer, so I don't have to wait all the time?

This link hopefully should take you to a page on sony's website for driver downloads for your model of laptop.

I would suggest downloading and installing the audio driver.

I am using Realtek High Definition Audio version 6.0.1.5886. I have tried to update is several times, but it seems like it is already up to date, so I don't think that's the problem?

Not too sure what to suggest.

Have you tried uninstalling the sound drivers from the device manager and then rebooting? Windows will then search for drivers and install them.

Hi

Are you using the Windows Update or Sony Update utility to update your driver?

You could try the generic Realtek driver for here:
