No sound.. please help!

I installed Windows 7 a little while ago, and my sound hasn't come back. I've tried everything I can think of.. it's telling me my drivers are all up to date, but I think it's lying =/

I believe the problem has something to do with this..


I know I'm meant to have more than one in there, but I've no idea how to go about it =/ Also, it tells me that it's using the 'optical jack' whereas I obviously want it to be using the green jack.. Does anyone know what's going on, and how I can fix it, please?

PS.
My motherboard is an Asus M2N-MX, and I use the onboard sound.

What sound card do you have? Try using Speccy if you do not know.

and uses the ADI1986A audio. Try using the Vista driver available from the above link.

Hmm, idealy, the Windows Vista driver should be operational on Windows 7 for this.

Try and go to the manufacturers website and try to get a driver from there.

If they can't help, Google is your best friend.
