Solved No Sound

Hi All,

This is my first post so hello to everyone

Well the problem started 3 days ago when i noticed there was no sound. I ignored this as i thought it was the kids messing with the volume but today i had a play and when i go to the speaker icon it is crossed out and when i hover the pointer ove r the speaker icon it says "No speakers or headphones arre plugged in". I did a restore to a week ago and that did not work so i went to the manufacturers wesite and downloaded and installed the recommended driver and again it did not work. I looked around on this website and found a thread which recommended a malware scan which i did and found and cleared 3 item....still no sound. Now i do not know where to go next. I was thinking of buying a soundcard but not sure if that will work.

I have noticed that the display sometimes goes a little juttery when sometimes since the sound problem happened.

Any advice/help appreciated

Update.... have connected the computer to my TV via HDMI and the sound works fine. Not sure if this is any help
