Hello,

i have a problem with my computer not detecting my headphones. It says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in" on the speaker in the left bottom corner. When I go in device manager, under "sound, video and game controllers" there are 4 High definition audio devices. If i right click on the speaker and click playback devices i only have 4 digital audio(HDMI), show disables devices are on.

I have a fujitsu siemens d2831-s1 motherboard. I installed realtek drivers but I'm unable to open the manager and it doesnt display in the control panel.

Please help
Thank you!

Hi There!

Firstly, Welcome to the Seven Forums!

Now i'd like you to do the following in the order I have listed:

  1. Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware by clicking here - Run a full scan and delete any Malware found.
  2. Then go to Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound then screenshot the contents of the sound window which shows up.
  3. Now click on start and in the search box please type 'msconfig.exe' then hit <Enter> - After this go to the 'Boot' sub-tab and in the bottom half of the window, check the box which says 'Boot Log'. Press apply then close the box down.
  4. Now restart your PC - this will generate a boot log
  5. After the restart go to: C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt
  6. Upload ntbtlog.txt & the Screenshot from the sound menu.
I will await your reply.
