No such device error message

Hello All
I installed Ubuntu side by side to my win 7. On the install it would only
install to an external drive I have. After the install completed an I restarted
my computer and I got an error message=
" error: no such devive: 868152e-2012-469b-b469-ebc2c953dfb4.
grub resue>"
I restarted my computer a few times and kept getting the same message.
I decided to restore my computer back to factory defaults. After doing this
I restarted my computer but kept getting the same message.

Could someone help me with this problem ?

Grub has taken over your boot and decided that it won't function without the external present which it is apparently having trouble with.
My advice is to remove grub and restore win 7.
