No text visible when reading receiving mail.

Hello and a Happy New Year,

I hope someone out there can help me with the problem I am having with Microsoft Outlook. What happens is when receiving emails that are composed using plain text I have nothing come up on the screen other than the outlook window. There is no type in the body of the message. There are no error messages or anything to give an idea of what is happening. Is there some sort of parameter that needs to be set??

The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium and the Office is Enterprise 2007.

If not then you may have font colour set to white. I am using Outlook 2013 & this method is for that, but I am sure Outlook 2007 is similar, so check it.

Thanks for the reply. The text is certainly no in white. If I forward to another computer the text appears, so it must be something else that is preventing it from appearing.

It sounds as if perhaps you have Outlook configured somehow only to view HTML, not plain text?
Perhaps there is a setting that needs to be changed?

The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium and the Office is Enterprise 2007.

That's certainly an unusual software combination.
Office 2007 Enterprise version is not generally available to home users.
Are you sure your version of Office 2007 is legal, properly activated and fully patched?

Thanks to all that have replied. All suggestions have been either checked or applied, but still plain text emails that are received are not "visible" and I really have not further leads to investigate.

Could anyone with any ideas please help. I have other computers running the same level and version of Outlook and the problem does not appear on them.
