I am using Windows XP here in this HP desktop I'm using now, and have really gotten used to using the "View as Slideshow" option in Autoplay when an external drive, memory card or CD/DVD in attached or inserted into this machine.
Back in August I purchared a HP laptop that had Vista installed but had the free upgrade to Windows 7 included. I just recieved and installed 7 yesterday and discovered that the "View as Slideshow" option is not there in Windows 7. I have yet to figure how , if possible, to make this happen?

Using Windows Photo Viewer you can preform this. Open a photo and their will be a "Play As Slideshow" which is a round button on the bottom middle. You also could use F11. Hope this helps! :D

This Doesn't Fix the Situation Though

I guess what I am really trying to find is a way to add the "View as Slideshow" option directly into the available options shown in "Autoplay" when a disc or drive is first recognized by Windows 7. Your suggestion will work, but you first have to open an image somewhere and then select the slideshow feature afterwards. This is not quite what I'm looking for.
