No wakeup after hybrid sleep (black screen)

Hello!

I have a problem with the hybrid sleep mode.
Whenever I try to put my notebook in sleep mode everything works ok, also normally waking up the system.
But when I disconnect the power cord and restart the system, Windows tries to resume its state but suddenly stops with a black screen and a blinking cursor.
I have absolutely no problems with normal sleep and normal hibernate (shutdown -h).

For a short time hybrid sleep worked only when I put the system to sleep with the notebook FN keys, but not through the Win start menu.
Now it doesn't work at all. Maybe this was also just a coincidence.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance and best regards!

Thanks for your reply!

I really like the idea of the hybrid sleep function and really would like to keep it.
Sleep and hibernate itself work, so hybrid sleep should work too, but I don't understand why it doesn't.

It seems to be a bug or error, as yet unresolved. As with my desktop, Sleep and Hibernate ONLY work with Hybrid sleep disabled...

You may like it, but you may need to keep it off for it to work.

We still have a like 20 page thread going on about this discussion, and we have not yet resolved the issue. It seems to be quite common.

Okay, thank you!
So there's nothing I can do right now.
The strange thing is that it worked for a while but only when I use the FN keys to go sleep mode.

Weird.... Well, you could go check out the thread and try some of the things that were suggested there. Maybe one of those will work for you.

It's an old thread, but I have the same problem as the thread starter.

Just wondering if there's a solution to this. (Disabling hybrid sleep is not a solution.)

I found a solution/workaround that works for me after some searching: disabling the USB 3.0 controller in BIOS (it's a 3rd party NEC/Renesas one, Gigabyte P55 mobo).
Now hybrid sleep resumes properly even after a power outage.

Interestingly enough, my USB 2.0 flash drive still works when connected to it, however my USB 3.0 HDD doesn't. Oh well, better than nothing.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. :(

Just as I thought it would finally work ok, another problem started happening, not when the power goes out but at normal sleep resume.
It seems like some components (or only the video card) don't resume, unless I press reset after trying to wake the PC.
I know it sounds weird, but others have this problem too (example).
I give up. But in case there's a solution I'll try it. (Already tried reinstalling the drivers etc., no help.)
