My friend upgraded from 7 to 10. Then she reverted back to 7. Now there is no wifi or LAN connection. It says its a driver issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers from the manufacture. Device manager says all is ok. I made sure the services were enabled. I'm at a loss on this one. Need some expert advice on how to troubleshoot. She has a Sony Vaio model VPCEB33FM.

Uninstall the network adapter and tick the option to uninstall drivers too when asked for. Restart and let Windows find the drivers. If fails try drivers from the Sony page.

Also try re-installing chipset drivers if there are any on the Sony page.

Another thing may be uninstall any 3rd party firewalls.

Checked all these services?

I did the driver part you mentioned. Did not do chipset drivers. Had no firewalls and checked services. Since I originally posted I found a lot of other issues with her laptop. Many other functions were wacked. I felt that reverting back caused the OS and probably some registry issues. Being she only had office on it and just a few files, I restored it to out-of-box state. Loaded drivers, office, updates, and a couple of browsers, etc..

All is good. FYI, in my quest to find a solution, I googled a lot. There are tons of people that have reverted back and had some kind of issue. That is why I like to wait before upgrading. A friend of mine said he would never upgrade until the first service pak is released.

Anyway thanks for your response.
