For several years I have had a Windows Workgroup network including an XP PC Desktop, MacBook Pro, Time Capsule Router, Buffalo Linkstation Pro, Sony Vaio (Upgraded to W7Ult) and two other Macs. I recently upgraded the PC Desktop to Windows 7 Ultimate through a custom install (complete reinstall). I changes the Workgroup name to the same as the other computers. However, I can not see the Buffalo Linkstation Pro or any of the Mac computers on the Workgroup any longer on the PC. Nor can other computers access the HP printer attached to the PC on the network, which is a major pain as the printer is not wi-fi enabled, and I had used the PC as a printer server for the reast of the family.

I have been able to locate the Time Capsule by using Airport Utility for Windows and logging on to the Time Capsule.

Advice appreciated.

I have the EXACT problem: Updated to Win 7 Ult. from Vista-32 with a clean install. Downloaded all drivers and I am able to connect to the Internet, see the network drive connected to an AirPort Extreme, but even though they are on the same workgroup and same network, the PC cannot be seen by any other computer on the network and viceversa. Time is synced, same network. Cannot even join homegroup of other Win 7 laptop. Any suggestions??

PS: sorry about the hijack... It just seems too similar to warrant another thread...:o
