hi....ive upgraded to windows 7...and removed bit defender as not
compatible...i have installed nod32 anti virus as i was told this is
compatable but it will not scan single file without administator
account...so i have activated the administator account...if i switch
user to administator account nod 32 will scan single files but all my files
are in my original account i created when i installed windows
7.......so now i have an administator account and my original
account.....how do i make my original account into administator....i
have tried doing this in control panel /user account but nod 32 still

The latest version (4.0.467.0) of NOD AV is great, imo.

I run in an administrator account so I haven't experienced the problem you are having. I would go to User Accounts and make your regular user account a member of the administrator group. If that doesn't solve the problem, then perhaps you need to take ownership of your entire drive. Here is an easy way to do that.

Otherwise and in addition, I would suggest exporting your custom NOD AV settings (if you have any) to a file (easy to do this from within the NOD AV main window, setup, export/import) and uninstall the app, reboot, reinstall, reboot and then import your saved NOD 32 settings to get the app set up to the way you had it. This should solve your problems with it.
