When I click on an x86 program icon I see the rotating icon indicating the program in loading. Then that rotating icon disappears, I then go to the task mgr to see what is running and the program I tried to start did not start. I have removed some of these x86 programs using microsoft programs and features in the control panel and reinstalled them and and there is no difference, as well as using the REVO uninstaller completely, reloading as a NEW install and they still do not run.

Could you give the good folks here a clue of the programs you are referring to?

Where did you get the said programs?

Well here is the real question. I received two suggestions yesterday to use a product called ReimageRepair.exe My question is this. Is this a safe program to use? By the name it sounds like it could be rather dangerous.

Yes a couple of the programs I am having problems with are Acronis, EasyDuplicateFinder, Beyond compare... The problem here is that Microsoft got into my system to fix an install problem with Office365, and when they finished I mentioned that some of these x86 programs did not work anymore. I said that they did just a few days ago and now they dont. And their reply was "well your operating system must then be corrupt. So if I run this reimagerepair program, what are the likelyhood that I will have an OS that will need to be reinstalled after the reimage program runs?

I use REVO uninstaller all the time and it is very good at removing pieces of the registry that pertain to the program you are uninstalling and leaving no trace of it when finished. I just want to know if this reimage program is a trusted repair tool. Malware bytes doesn't like it, and quarantines it.
