Not able to partition

Friends,

I tried to partition my hard disk (C) which is 320gb using a third party tool.I tried to create 2 more partitions.But it created only one.And an error has came that crossed the maximum number of partitions so that it did not create the second one.In my system I were having 3 partitions inbuilt.One is C:,recovery(D) and system(E).Can I create the partition.Please help me on this issue.

What third party app were you using? Was it a full version or shareware... You can also do this with Windows 7 ... See Brinks tutorial on creating partitions -=> Here
