My windows 7 computer stable for months became unstable and it seems to be that it will be stable randomly after rebooting/crashing and will never crash unless I reboot then it can happen again.

Is there any sort of common cause for something like this? I know I didn't post dumps or anything right now im just curious if this is something limited in what could do that or not its pretty bizarre.

Please do not misunderstand me now, the following is not meant to be taken personally but rather as a general advice.

Read again what you posted, slowly and with thought. Then think again what the post really says. Let me do it for you, here's your post in a nutshell:

My PC crashes sometimes, then stays stable a while. What is causing this?

A question like this is impossible to answer, however good our BSOD & Crashes Squad is. Crashes are impossible to analyze, to find a culprit without extensive knowledge about what's running on your PC, about the circumstances leading to the crash and so on. That's why there are clear instructions about posting in this thread.

Very sincerely,

Kari

BFM mate this sounds a it like the filing system is out of whack and I am not telling you to do anything but personally for the length of time it takes to run try these and see what happens - it could be something real simple.

If these do not work then try these at least you can eliminate a few things in a short time.

Other than Windows 7, what other programs have you installed? Codec packs? You may try disabling these one at a time to see if it affects your problem.
