I've done this a dozen times before, I have a USB kit that allows me to connect IDE or Sata drives. I wanted to give my laptop a boost, so I removed its slow 5400 rpm HD, and was going to install a spare SSD I have laying around. Instead of doing a fresh install of Win 7, I was going to just clone the drives. But when I plugged in the USB connector the drive was not shown in My Comp, so I went to disk mang, where is showed as disk 7 and not initialized. I tried to tried to initialize, but it just says device not ready.
