Not sufficient privilege

When using the mklink command to create a junction, it says
"You do not have sufficient privilege to perform this operation."

I was logged in with Administrator privilege, what else do I need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

log on as administrator.
then'
Win | type cmd.exe | do not hit ENTER | right-click on cmd.exe in the list above the search bar.| choose Run as admnistrator.

Let me forewarn you. Make a system image backup of your system before you start playing around with making links. You are asking for troubles.

I agree with Karl. Messing with junction points is asking for trouble.

Over the last few weeks I've had to help friends and neighbours re-install Windows 7 because they'd broken the link that points legacy software to the right location or because they couldn't access their documents.

The best method in my view is to keep all your personal data in a separate partition, and then include the location in your libraries.
