I did some checks and my processor couldn't run XPmode. (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13ghz) So I installed it in Virtualbox along with the guest additions. Works Great!

Xp mode is a part of the OS. (You have to install it but still part of the os)

Virtual box is a third party program that allows you to install a guest os. It does the same thing as VmWare.

These do not require hardware virualization like XpMode.
So processors that dont have that option can run guest os's.
