Not sure how to describe this..HELP! Display Problem.

Ok Just go into the Device Manager and click on your Display adapter, then right click your video card and click Uninstall and then press ok to confirm.
And then repeat what you did as above.

Go to the driver file on your desktop that you downloaded and open it , click on properties and then install it in Compatibility Mode for vista.

Ok, I've done exactly as you said, but the problem still persists ):
What happens is
-I uninstall the video card via device manager
-Reboot [Sometimes it prompts me to, otherwise I do it manually]
-After rebooting, it automatically detects and installs NVIDIA by itself, I'm not sure, but I think it's the 'plug and play' ?
-It prompts to reboot again, if I choose to 'reboot later' and try to install the downloaded updated driver first, it will prompt me to reboot as well
-Reboot again, [Plug and play NVIDIA installed; downloaded driver isn't] and the problem is still here
-Install the downloaded driver, but there is no change.

So basically, it's exactly as you've told me to do, except for the plug and play part, and I dunno how to stop it when its running, or disabling it, although I'm not sure if that'll help.

Hi, I'm back, If you haven't done anything with the program that I told you to look at, try this again,
Ok this time Dont uninstall anything, and go to the folder on the desktop and try to install it in Compatibility Mode,

Improper methodology detected.

Use the official uninstaller(s) of the driver(s) you want to uninstall.
Reboot your PC in Safe Mode.
Run Driver Sweeper and select what to clean.
Analyse lists all the entries possible to remove, cleaning removes the entries selected.
More drivers can be selected for the same cleaning process.

Just a thought as well it would be nice if you woud go to your user cp and fill in your system specs as well. It helps to know what your system is. I know you said you can't read them but you also said it was still under warranty so you should beable to contact the sytem manufacturer and find out.

I can read it if I set my screen resolution to High Colour [16-bit]. The problem only happens in True Colour [32-bit] as far as I can tell. But neither can I run a game in.

It still would be nice if you went into your user cp located at the top of the page. In their you can list all the components in your system so when people are trying to help you they can click the My System specs in the bottom left hand corner of yoour post and it will pull up what you have entered in user cp as your system spec. For an example just click on mine in the lower left hand corner to see what you can input in user cp. Thnaks and enjoy seven forums
