hi, im writing this on behalf of my friend - basically he was using his laptop normally, he has msn, facebook and itunes open - he left the room and came back about half an hour later - when he moved the cursor to click on msn and his screen turned blue with a small white bird on the right hand side. he couldn't do anything, pressed ctrl alt delete and again nothing happened. so he turned it on and off again and the same blue screen came up straight away before he could get into his user account. after a few more attempts at turning on and off the laptop suddenly started a 'startup repair'. my friend didn't tell it to do this and it has spent over 2 hours doing this now. we'd be grateful if anyone could tell us what is going on - what happened in the first place and if the laptop is 'fixing' itself? as you might be able to tell neither of us know much about computers so dumbing down would be helpful haha! thank you!
