Hi All,

I'm using a Toshiba Portege R700 notebook for video conference and meetings in my office, with Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit installed on it.

Lately till last week everything was fine, I had set the Power options and power plan selected is balanced settings to be never with all the settings when on battery and plugged in power supply to be never.

But still my from yesterday my notebook is going in sleep mode and getting locked, prompting login screen.
My company's big bosses use the same notebook for video conferences and presentations.

Please help me if there's any other settings which affects this.

It is possible the settings are applied through group policy. Is this a domain-joined PC or Workgroup?

Run gpedit.msc - Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Power Management - Sleep Settings - check whether any setting is configured, disable any sleep functions here if you wish then restart PC.
You can also run in cmd (to see effective Group Policy settings):
Code:
gpresult /z

If nothing come up like this, try resetting power plans - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/950-power-plan-restore-default-settings.html

Hey Thanks GokAy, this notebook is a domain joined one, and there are no group policy settings applied I verified it already. But still to be fully sure i verified now again all the sleep settings states are "Not Configured".

I get you are an admin in the domain and have rights to change options?

Try setting the sleep options to disabled in gpedit.msc nevertheless. And makes sure it is applied - after a restart run cmd as admin:
Code:
gpresult /z

Also try resetting Power Plan.

By the way it may be a Toshiba feature, check any apps and running processes. Try a clean startup - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html
