A few weeks ago I changed the file association for .html files to open with Notepad (instead of IE) and since then I have noticed that often when I perform a Save As action in Notepad (on an .html file) and then press the Enter key (as opposed to the Save button) Notepad "stops working" and generates the following message:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Note that I used a program called Default Programs Editor to make the change. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is there a way to reinstall Notepad independently? In every other way Notepad works fine.
PS: As for the reason I used a third party app to change the default program, I tried to do it "normally" but it wasn't sticking. But I realized after that the reason it wasn't sticking is because that change somehow prompted IE to think it wasn't the default browser, and when the message came out asking me if I wanted to make IE the default browser, it undid the file association to Notepad. I only realized this after the fact.
Thank you!
