How do I get back my existing Notepad icon which was change to text icon. :oDid the virus change it?

As for the icon, right-click it and choose Properties. In the lower part of the window there's choices for changing the icon or locating the application but I'd suspect the .exe/executable file for Notepad is corrupted. The bad part is other .exe files may have been corrupted and your mention of a virus supports that theory.
