Is there a hack that disables Notepad's printing of the current filename at the top of the page?

Remove the header (and footer) in the File, Page Setup menu.

ummm....ya, there is. In Notepad, go to File menu, and choose Page Setup. From the Page Setup window, where it says "Header", delete anything that is in there (probably says "&f").

Well that was obvious and I'm guilty of not looking. I just 'assumed' that notepad is so basic there was no such thing as a page setup.
