Notepad ++

I am looking for a small text program that I can sort and Notepad ++ seems to fit that bill.


I just can NOT find a place that I feel confident in downloading it.


Any suggestions?

If Notepad doesn't work for what you need it for, have you tried using Wordpad?

Both text apps come in Windows 7.

I downloaded Notepad++ from this site, but it did NOT open properly. Have no idea what I did wrong.


Never heard of WordPad. I will check it out.

Hi,

Which site did you download it from?
If from Ninite: ninite will download a installer that you click that will install Notepad++
If from the Authors site: that would be a normal download that you install.

I've used notepad++ for years and I always install it. I get it from the author's website. Downloads | Notepad++

Like every other software out there, there is only one reliable place to download it: it's official website

There is no other site where you can be more confident than the original one. All other can host copies, sometimes modified maliciously, a frequent flaw that the real developer won't commit.

I finally got Notepad++ installed yesterday and it was sorting just the way I wanted. Today I can NOT get it to sort to save me.


Any suggestions??

Never mind, I got it figured out.
