I am not sure why but Notepad ++ will load up even though it is a standalone software. It was working and why it stopped I have NO idea. Here is what I see when I try run it.

Does NOT make sense to me. On my Windows 10 PC, it works fine.

Maybe someone knows how to fix this issue. Thanks

I only know Windows 7, however, I think Control Panel / Default Programs / associate a file type or protocol with a program, should do the trick. Sometimes, but not always, Control Panel / Set Default Programs / Set this program to default and/or Choose [all has been my choice most of the time] Defaults for this program works very well.

Is the drive letter "I" a USB drive?

Is it write protected?

Is it a knock off, no name USB drive?

Download Notepad ++ portable again?
