Solved Notification area customization reset when program not running

I have customized the Notification Area so that some items are hidden and some are not. However, when a program that I've set to "Show icon and notification" stops running for any reason, its customization reverts back to "Only show notifications", even after the program has been restarted. So I then have to go back and redo the customization. Is there some way to get the customization to survive a program's temporary interruption?

If there is no such way, as a lead to a possible work-around, does anyone know where (in the Registry or in a file) the customization is stored?

Thanks.

Thanks, Brink, I think it did help. On a quick test, it worked. I'll see how it goes over the long term.

Great news. That would indicate that you had corruption in the notification area that resetting it had cleared. :)
