Notification Problems

Hello,

I'm completley stuck with this problem.

I have Outlook 2010 and I run this alongside MSN Messenger. Both programs are set to display desktop notifications and a sound when an email is received.

I think there is a setting somewhere (I have checked everywhere and can't find one so far) that is preventing these notifications from being displayed as they wont appear.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs (staggered to ensure one wasn't affecting the other) to no avail.

Setting a rule in outlook will render a notification on mail arrival but this does not show the mail body. Also, I don't always have outlook open.

I can't understand this at all. I have the same setup at work and I receive notifications from both programs.

My OS is win7 64bit home premium.

Please help!?!?!?!?!
