Hi, I have been using windows 7 ultimate for about 3 weeks now, and today I noticed a file in my user name folder called ntuser.dat can someone please tell me what it means?,and can I delete it?, I only noticed it there today, it was not there before?.thank you.

No you cannot delete it. Leave it alone it is part of the Registry.

The system finally created it or you changed your Explorer settings to view system files.

all you have to do is right click the file , properties, and select hidden,
it should be hidden if system files are set to hidden , not sure where it is coming
from yet, could be a bug in an update, not worried about it though,
