Hello,

I recently installed Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit on new setup and I'm quite happy with performance. I noticed however slight but quite annoying screen flickering, especially when reproducing dark shaded colours. It looks more like some interference, but I think it's not supposed to happen. I installed recent NVIDIA driver (191.07) but the problem persists.

Here's my configuration:

AMD Athlon II X2 250
ASUS M4N78 PRO
NVIDIA 8300 on board
WD 15EADS
Seasonic 430W
Scythe Shuriken Big Cooler
Silverstone Lascala LC17
AOC LCD 17" Screen

Any ideas for solving the issue?

Thanx in advance

Hi.

I don't know about your monitor(s) but if they are dvi capable with a port for it, use dvi cable(s) to connect to the graphics card.

monitor is connected via vga, TV screen (40" LCD) via HDMI which btw. displays no flickering. The monitor flickers regardless of TV screen on/off or HDMI connected/disconnected.

That's some kind of interference then from the power lines or similar. Try to move power cords away or if the pc/monitor is very close to a wall, move away as a test.
Move the monitor away from the pc more. If there are speakers close, move them away from the monitor.

Set the refresh rate as high as the monitor will allow.
