Hi there. I'm hoping someone out there can possibly help me please.

I've recently freshly installed Windows 7 64bit Ultimate. Everything is fine except my graphics card drivers. I can play a game for a couple of minutes but it then flickers/Graphical tearing and goes to a black screen and turns off.

Sometimes it'll either turn off completely and I'll have to restart my PC, or it goes off for a few seconds and then it'll load back up saying that my drivers have failed but successfully recovered.

I've currently got the 195.39 drivers installed, I've tried it with the 191.07 drivers too but the problem is still the same. Of course I've completely uninstalled previous drivers before installing new ones, even running Driver Sweeper to remove the rest of the drivers so it's a complete new install.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Could be heat related. But let's see a crash dump. Here's how to post it. Probably 0x116 stop error is my guess.

Should I reply with my Crash Dump here or in the Crashes and Debugging forum as it states?

Also heat isn't an issue. I've got several fans and a decent airflow through my tower. I believe so anyway ^^

14" front fan, 12" rear fan and a 8" side fan.

Heh heh, you're welcome. As I thought. 0x116 errors.

See my advice about them here.

Also, these drivers are old. Remove them from the system or update them:

I'll do that.

Also, something I perhaps should have mentioned. Before I upgraded to Windows 7, I had Windows XP.

I had XP with my RAM which is 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair Dominator and I was getting CPU usage spikes. So I flashed my BIOS from it's original which came with the motherboard (Asus M2N-E SLI) and the RAM suddenly stopped working, So I had to use other RAM.

Now, before I installed Windows 7. I flashed my BIOS again to the latest beta release. I'm telling you this just in case that is not helping any matters.

Is it safe to just delete them drivers which you said? I mean.. nothing at all will be affected? I have no idea for the life of me how I'd go about updating them. I seem like a bit of an amateur at this sort of thing, and I thought I had a bit of knowledge >_<

Them.

Oh and also, should I install the 191.07 driver or stick with the 195.39 drive I currently have installed?

Google them and find out what they are. Then uninstall the related app or use the device manager to uninstall while checking the box to also delete the driver. (You might have to set device manager to show hidden devices first.)

Find updates if you can and want to still use whatever they are. Then install that.

If you can't find anything or whatnot, make a system restore point. Then boot to safe mode and just delete them. Reboot to Windows normal and see how it goes.

So, I deleted them.

BdGaming.sys = Bullguard Internet Security

Couldn't delete Dump_nvstor for some reason.

I also couldn't find my RAM timings on my BIOS.

I guess I'll go try the game again. See what happens.

Flickering and tearing in World of Warcraft. I've lowered the quality of the game to something the card should easily handle and enabled vertical sync. If I disable that the flickering/tearing is crazy and it crashes.

If I go full screen with Warcraft too it also flickers and tears. I did it just now and it said "Display Driver Nvidia 195.39 something kernel something stopped working but has successfully recovered.

There's only 3 things on my PC that I could find when searching Macrovision.

2 x Manifests files and one file you told me to delete which it reinstalled it self after I deleted them because I had to do a startup recovery, which I didn't tell you about for some reason I don't have >_<

Been on warcraft now in windowed mode on a resolution of 1280x960 or whatever it is and i've had no flicker/tear so far.

Still pisses me off I can't run full screen.

I posted on the World of Warcraft forums about my issue. Someone said it's just simply my Graphics card overheating. Seeing as my card has 'Passive cooling' (Just a huge heat sink on it) I guess that's perhaps could be 'the' problem, Right?
