i have this new amd asus board m4a89 gtd pro/usb3 has the amd onboard graphics that supports dvi/hdvi/vga and i have a nvidia gts 250 video card that only supports 2 dvi monitors. is there a way to use the onboard ati for the hdmi and the gts at the same time? i have 2 vga monitors and a tv that i want to use. the tv is the hdmi port and is just used here and there to watch movies online.

well you used to be able too although it was fiddly as hell and buggy but since Vista they have done away with it however there does seem to be a workaround.....maybe

You can try but the SurroundView option in the bios is only supposed to work with another ATI card,

ATI Hybrid Graphics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I can't test it myself and haven't seen anywhere that it will work with a Nvidia card, but I have a feeling that even with teh onboard video enabled the SurroundView option will be grayed out. One thing I do know is that the onboard video won't work (or at least it doesn't on mine) without SurroundView enabled with a video card installed.
