Nvidia could not locate drivers that are compatible

I cant install Nvida driver v182.50 (32bit drivers) for my Virtual XP mode, though the screen looks fine with the generic driver but one of the software needs open GL support & uses GPU for which i need nvida drivers to be installed.

When Installing I get the error
"nvida setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit"

I download the 32bit drivers isn't that what I need?

Remember that XP Mode is running in a Virtual PC environment - even though your CPU may support Virtualization Technology extensions, this is for the CPU only - the software will still *emulate* a video card - and more than likely it will be an Intel type card.

So does that mean I cant use the GPU processing at all?
My XP desktop is running on 1680x1048 @ 16bit
where as the win7 is running at 1680x1050 @ 32bit.

Why 2 pixel missing?

not in XP Mode, no. In Win 7 you should have no issue using it at all.

This sucks, this is the only reason I would use virtual XP - for games that won't run on 7.

I am pretty *positive* that that is not the *intended* reason for developing XP mode.

Also, it makes *no* sense to run a game in a virtual machine with *another* host OS sitting outside - you're robbing your game of a lot of power that it could have natively.

You're just better off dual booting XP and Windows 7....
