Hello indicawarrior & Welcome to SevenForums! :geek:

Can you check your GPU temperature?
Use programs like speedfan etc.

Best Regards,
FredeGail

I assume it's driver version 275.53 you're trying to install?

1. Did you uninstall the old driver first?

2. At what point does your computer crash? Are you able to get to NVIDIA's option to carry out a clean install?

NVIDIA DRIVERS 270.61 WHQL

My suggestion is to try the 270.61 at the above link.
Download 270 then uninstall the 275.
Install the 270.

Just a suggestion no guarantee it will work. Sometimes the newest isn't the best for everyone.
Mike

Also go below link enter model and click Search and it will give you a list of all usable WHQL drivers.
Find one that will work.

It's worth remembering that OEM drivers may well be configured differently to the manufacturer's drivers.

It could therefore be that you need to use the driver supplied by your computer manufacturer rather than the card manufacturer.

As far as I'm aware, if you go to Start>Computer then double-click the C: drive followed by Applications, you should see two folders in there named Applications and Drivers. The video driver for your Advent should be in the Drivers folder.
