Hello there

I upgraded my GFX card about a few months back, probally more and I never had any problems with playing games or remote desktop sharing until I installed my GeForce 9500 GT.

I can browse My Computer, surf the internet, chat on IM, play music, pretty much anything apart from playing games and remote desktop sharing using TeamView. When ever I play a game, it works for like 5 minutes and then BSOD appears, same goes with Team View. This has been happening for a long time now and I was just ignoring it but now It really is starting to annoy me

I've searched upon the BSOD error and I have found no results. I was told to copy the mindumps and NFO and upload them so here they are.

I was also told to run the "sfc/ scannow" utility and this is the result.

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Gareth>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me. It really is annoying me now.

Note: The .zip includes 3 dumps (2 from today and 1 from yesterday) and the NFO of my System Information.

Update 1: Here is a screen shot of the BSOD.

Seems like an error with your video driver from your dmp. Is the card from NVidia, or another mfg. If another, try using their drivers for the latest update.

Hi -

All 3 dumps had the same bugcheck -

0x116 = Video TDR timeout; Probable cause = NVIDIA.

Hello jcgriff2

Thanks for your impressive diagnose. I searched around on the support page and only found Asus ATK0110 mobo utility drive. I downloaded it and ran the file but i'm not sure if it has updated it or anything, it did reboot my computer though after the Command Prompt disappeared.

Do you know anything else how I could solve the rest? or do you know if Asus has some sort of download manager that'll search your computer for out-dated drivers and update them automatically?

I managed to update ATK0110 Mobo Utility, Atheros NIC driver and the webcam is update-to-date.

So I just ran another game and I got the BSOD again. I then ran the verifier and followed the steps on your website and rebooted and nothing happened.

Here is the new dump.

Still seems like an Nvidia problem

BUCKET_ID: 0x116_VRF_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys

Please boot into safe mode. Completely get rid of Nvida driver. Reboot and install the newest driver.

Do you think the graphics card could be broken?

Hi -

The last 2 dumps had the same 0x116 bugcheck - Video TDR timeout; Probable cause = NVIDIA; one dump was VERIFIER_ENABLED

Ironically, ATK0110 taken care of, now asio.sys shows up -
Code:
[FONT=lucida console][COLOR=navy]AsIO.sys[/COLOR]     Mon [COLOR=red]Dec 17[/COLOR] 04:10:20 [COLOR=red]2007[/COLOR] (47663CFC)  [/FONT]
Same instructions as for ATK0110, now look for Asus Cool 'n Quiet asio.sys -
