[FONT=Segoe UI, Arial] Garrysmod runs at 300fps

just before the glitch happened on call of duty my framerate was going wild from 60 to 20 in really fast drops

Hello there.

If you have the latest drivers. please uninstall them, run driver sweeper and then reinstall the latest ones. It could also be that your GPU is dying.

Do you get this behavior without playing any games? HD content streaming, Movies?

Nope only when playing games
the first time it happened was actually about 6-7 month ago on gmod and it was a one off occurrence
but now it seems to be alot more frequent

Hi. Im still running windows XP and I've been having the same exact issues with Sims 3. My game looks exactly like your picture with the graphics, flickering, screen sometimes turning white or black, checkered screens.
I even get a bunch of nv4_disp.dll BSOD's
0x00000050
0x000000EA
0x0000000A

I've even replaced the graphics card with a new one, the same version, Nvidia 9800GT, and Im still getting the same issues. I've installed a new CPU with a better fan, I've tried changing the game to various diffrent settings even though I used to be able to play perfectly on all the highest settings. I've forced V-sinc on, Ive tried playing in window mode. Still, the same problem. I dont know what the heck is wrong.
