I have this problem at work with my computers, most all of my windows 7 machines this is happening to. I have disabled IPv6 and this seemed to have fixed the problem except one or two of my machines.

I have also tried (as suggested in another forum) reinstalling the drivers by going to "update drivers" from within device manager for you NIC, and browse my machine for device drivers. Two end up in the results and I choose the one on the bottom as suggested. I'll post back to see if this clears the issue. Seems like a long shot but I'll give anything a try at this point.

nForce onboard NIC problem

Hi,
I found similar problem on my motherboard ASROCK n68-s3 ucc with AMD Phenom II 810 and 8GB DDR3 RAM, where it can't connect network during boot. I have tried even to update the driver from Windows update service, however, it doesn't help. By the way, it's regarding situation, where NIC try to obtain address from DHCP server, if you enter static IP, it works fine. I think that this is relating to driver or nVidia chipset architecture itself, which is relatively old and I can't understand why new motherboards still use it. I can't use static IP in my network enviroment, so I decided to disable onboard LAN and use PCI-E ethernet card, it solves the problem.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1
In my case with Striker II Extreme motherboard and q9400 4GB ram.
I had some type of drops or stuck or freeze for 1-2 sec when network is under load (heavy download or online tv)

Receive side scaling was disables, but no effect
+
Issue fixed in Speed and duplex settings
set to full/100mbps (this is my case)
and everything working well.
