Solved Nvidia old and new model comparison help please.

Hi, In my PC I have an Nvidia GeForce GTS250 1GB, I am looking at getting a new game 'King Arthur Fallen Champions', the sys req says recomended GPU is a 9800 GT 512MB. I have read in the web that some GTS250's are rebranded 9800's, this leads me to believe that the two cards are on par as far as performance? Am I correct, will my GTS250 have any issues running this game?

If I recall corrctly, the GTS250 is actually just slightly faster than the 9800GT.
Granted, its not by very much.




While that game does need the GPU power, its also more of a CPU heavy game.
But I think you'll be fine with your E8400.

The game isn't nearly as demanding as TW Empire for example.


Have you played the K.A Games before?
I can tell you right now, if you absolutely hate games like Rome Total War, you probably will not like it. If you do enjoy those type of games youll have fun with it.
They are much like a Total War game, only with RP elements. Its set up a bit different, but sorta has that TW gameplay feel to it.
I like it myself , but its not everyones cup of tea.


If you didnt realize, thats a stand alone expansion. Theres also the main game itself (King Arthur the Role Playing War Game)
I do not have the stand alone expansion myself, but I would guess that the full game may have more content.. not 100% sure though.


At any count, I think youll be fine.
You may not be able to have all settings at MAX, like view distances on a battlefield, but you should be able to play the game well.
Your system exceeds the Min requirement, and much closer to recommended.

Thanks for the info, I wasnt aware it was a SA expansion, have played TW but not the other KA games, will have to hunt them down.
