I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 that was running vista. i have done a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. In Vista I had a Nvidia Graphics card and drivers, but now it shows that I have a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, under the device manager. I have downloaded a number of drivers from Nvidia, but all fail, they say there is no device that they are compatible with. Should I re- insatll with the original disk that came with my computer and do a Windows 7 UPGRADE, will that make a difference?..............

Thank you

when choosing the Nvidia Driver, did you use the auto-detect? If that is unsucessful it should manually choose the GeForce Go 7 Series Driver (7400?)

go to the manufacturers site and get all the chipset drivers etc for that model (you can even use the serial number to be exact) the vista version of the driver will work in 7 if they havent released a specific win7 version.
