An example...Angry Birds Seasons.
What Rovio told me:
"Thanks for getting that crash log to us!
The line: 'Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\atioglxx.dll' suggests that a file related to your ATI graphics card drivers is faulting and causing the program to crash.
I'm being told by win 7 that my graphics driver is up to date. I removed the graphics driver and reinstalled it again, and again. Then something weird...I discovered nvidia drivers installed and I have a Raedon onboard that I'm using. I never had an nvidia card installed in this build. I use the previous hd as a backup (with everything intact [win XP Pro, nvidia]), in case this one crashes and for saved files such as documents) but I boot from the new drive.
I uninstalled the nvidia drivers. Uninstalled the raedon drivers and reinstalled them. Tried opening the game and got the same error. Basically the same crash log. A restore point won't work because they all have the nvidia drivers in them.
I would like to fix this problem without having to reinstall the os, if it is at all possible. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I have to go search for info on the build as all my boxes are in storage so I can't just grab the boxes and get the model numbers for the parts. I didn't save the build info here. My mistake. Here's what I remember:
Asus FM2 series mb
Athlon II, x2 5200
8 GB, crucial memory
WD 1 terrabyte SATA hd
WD 120 G SATA, (with win xp)
Win 7 home premium
