I posted this about a month ago on a different board of the forum, but didn't get a usable response...I'll hope for better this time. Previously, I thought that this problem only occurred when using TVU Player, but I was wrong, it has happened a lot of times running or trying to runs various games. The Reliability Monitor says that a video hardware problem occurred, but I really believe that the problem is driver related, however I have updated the driver several times since the problem began. The genesis of this problem was after installing the RTM. It didn't occur in the betas or RC. For what it is worth, I'm attaching the last minidump below:

You got all of those from the zip? The SI processes will be easy, because I do have a controller installed that is not in use, but it hasn't caused a problem such as this before....worth a shot. I just downloaded the latest version of SpeedFan. I have the latest version of PE installed (11.33). I'm not certain about ASACPI.sys, is that part of the OS, or part of the Asus drivers? It appears that zl88avs64.sys is from my DVICO TV tuner, which I really don't use much, so I'll pull it for a while and see what happens. 000 000.fcl is a PowerDVD file, but I only installed PowerDVD a few days back and this problem far outdates it, so I doubt that it is the cause. nvstor64.sys I believe that I have the latest driver installed, since Nvidia is no longer supporting this MB, but I used this driver in previous builds of W7, so I doubt that it is the cause either. The only thing that I could do is to scrap the computer and build a more up to date one to replace it, and I'm not inclined to do so.

Thanks, you have given me several paths to explore, but I have no idea of where they may lead.

EDIT: I found that ASACPI.sys appears to be part of an Asus driver, but like before, my usage of this driver predates the origin of this problem, and there is no newer available.

I'm fairly certain the ASCAPI.sys has a 2009 version. If not, you can uninstall the motherboard utilities from Windows.

I couldn't find a 2009 file at Asus, but I'm downloading one from 2007 for Vista x64...if it ever finishes downloading. Asus's server is not very good.

I just checked in Programs and Features, and nothing is listed for Asus. This is simply a standalone driver, so I'm not sure how to uninstall the older driver for another installation?

The 2005 version of the ASACPI.SYS driver is normally installed when you installed Win7.
And there it sits, waiting for something to set it off.

You can update it by installing the Vista version from the ATK section in this link: http://support.asus.com/download/download_item.aspx?product=1&model=A8N32-SLI Deluxe This won't completely remedy the situation, but I haven't seen the number of errors with the 2007 version that I have seen with the 2005 version.

Typically the causes of this error are:
- drivers corrupted
- overheating
- bad video card

I'm starting to suspect compatibility issues (both with video drivers and chipset drivers) along with BIOS updates - but those are just suppositions on my part.

So, I'd suggest updating your video drivers to the latest Windows 7 version available for your computer.
I would update the other drivers that torrentg has suggested also.

Then, should the BSOD's continue, we can troubleshoot them more easily.

The only thing that I see in the Device Manager for ACPI is under CPU, and the driver is labeled MS 6-21-06. I guess that it is the native driver that came with the OS.

Follow Usasama's post since you probably didn't see it when you posted, yet. He has an Asus board and knows much better than I do.

In device manager, go to view | show hidden devices. Then look in non-plug and play section.

It's most likely in there I bet.

I just tried to install the ACPI driver, but Windows said that it already had the best driver installed, so I tried the "Have Disk" method, but when I browsed to the Vista64 subfolder and it saw the inf and I proceeded, it said that it wasn't compatible with W7.

Cooling is not an issue. Corrupt drivers unknown. Bad video card, I doubt because of timing.

The video and video drivers are the latest, so if there is an incompatibility issue, I don't know how to resolve it, other than the chipset driver aspect, which I'm still working on.

I just found that the same moment that your post notification arrived, along with an ACPI Fixed Feature Button, which appears to correspond with what is found under Computer in the Device Manager, but I'm still trying to figure what to do with them?

More evidence is mounting that there's a compatibility issue with the drivers.
Do you recall updating anything recently (to include Windows Updates)?
