I have the windows x32 and when i try to start it up it just tells me that oblivion has stopped working. i've tried some compatability modes and my dad has installed things that should have helped but it's the same thing over and over. As of now, he thinks it might be something with the graphics card, but we're not sure. it seems everyone can run it on a x64 but isnt a x32 more compatable since Windows XP is a x32?
Anyways, ive been settling with playing it on my dad's laptop but i can live like this  any help on this is much appreciated. here are some of my specs, i dont know how relevant most of this is to the problem so if more info is needed just contact me.

Have you tried deleting the .ini files and start the game, forcing it to remake them?

Documents/ My games / Oblivion
then delete the Oblivion text files

If that doesn't help , it may simply be the fact of a laptop with integrated graphics. That may be the issue.

alright well i did try that, and it didnt work. there was however a notification saying something like the graphics card couldnt be identified or something was up with it so it defaulted to medium graphics, so now i'm definitely sure it is something to do with the graphics card, so ill probably have to get a new one or save up for a better computer. thanks for the suggestion
