Hi Everyone,

I have a bit of an issue with a Acer Aspire I currently have.

I' am able to connect to the modem to obtain the network name but I have no internet connectivity.

I' am confident that this is a DNS issue as I' am able to Ping google's IP address and get a response but not google.com.

I have tried the following

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the NIC driver
  • Flushing the DNS
  • Checking the HOST file
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the IPv4 stack
  • Disabling IPv6
  • Uninstalling Anitvirus programs
  • Booting into Safe Mode with Networking
  • Checked services to ensure all services requiring Internet connectivity were running.
  • Not connected to a Domain and any Proxy settings are set to automatic.
I can boot into Mini XP and successfully connect to the internet without any issues ruling out Hardware.
I get a IP and Default gateway address if I perform a IPConfig /all.

I have other devices connected to the same modem with full connectivity as well.

I' am unable to do a system restore due to no Restore points available.

If anyone has anymore Ideas I would love to hear them.

Thanks in advance.
