I have been playing different games over the last few months and I keep getting a screen freeze follow by a loud sound. I have put a picture of what my screen usually looks like when it happens. It happens randomly and it also happens to my friend and we are seeking answers.

You have a lot of dump files in there, but none really recent. The most recent dump file is 6-30 all the rest are earlier. I checked all the way back to April and none of them would tell me anything. The only one that did was the 6-30 one and it showed

Code:
lmvm klif
start end module name

Please fill out your System Specs

   Information
Your System Specs will help us to help you, and doing it in this manner will make them available to all helpers in every post and keep us from hunting for them. We ask that you fill them out in as much detail as possible including Desktop or Laptop, Model number if it is an OEM computer and all components with the Manufacturer and Model number if possible.

If you will go to your last post and click the 'System Specs' in the bottom left of the post, you will find a link to update your system specs. Please fill those out in as much detail as possible. If you would like to know what we would like, you can click 'My System Specs' at the bottom left of this post to see mine. If you do not know what your components are, this will help you accomplish this task. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html

Also open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

I realize you most likely don't want to, but it may help if you uninstalled Kaspersky at least temporarily and replaced it with Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows That should at least eliminate that possibility until we can find out what the problem is. Your system specs will help a lot in doing that. Please let us know how the scan came out.

OK, great, thanks a lot. The problem is that the dump files you have are not recent and even the older ones don't give us a lot of info to go on. Please read this tutorial and make sure your computer is set to create small memory dumps. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html Yours should look like this
View attachment 327180

Maybe we can get some meaningful info from them in the future. Also, verify you have a Minidump file in C:/Windows. You should have a file in C:/Windows/Minidump .

They were already small files, and I ran that sfc /scannow command. It didn't bring up at errors, earlier today my computer actually froze and did the sound again. I'm in DEEP need for an answer. Thanks for your help.

Please reinstall your graphics driver from your motherboard's web site, uninstall your current driver and reinstall the most recent driver. When you play games, use only 1 monitor and turn the graphics settings in the game lower.

I don't know what games you are playing, but your graphics probably won't play the more demanding games and turning graphics down, will put less strain on the on chip CPU. I have looked over your dump files again and there is nothing in them other than the game, Arma3 crashed. Until we get some dump iles that will give us some information, there is only a little we can do.

We can start running hardware stress tests if you want. They are most pretty time consuming and require a lot of attention. You will want a graphics temp monitoring program to keep track of temps and stop the test if it gets too hot. Download Ungine Heaven Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 Windows Download but be careful of any junk programs they want to install with them, just uncheck the boxes to opt out. See if you can run it on extreme settings, always keeping a watch on temps. Stop the test if temps get too high. When the program loads and starts moving just press the benchmark tab up top. If you have problems on extreme or artifacts, back it down a notch until it will run. see how you fare with that. The picture you showed, looked to be graphics related. It can be the drivers, or putting too much stress on your GPU, or even not getting enough power to the CPU.
