I run Windows 7. My email account is Hotmail accessed through Windows Live Hotmail. When I reply to an email by using the "reply" function (where the sender's text is included) both my text, which I type in above the sender's text, and the sender's text somehow disappear and I end up sending a blank email - which I only find out when I check my Sent Messages or when the recipient queries the blank text! This doesn't happen every time. Does anyone know how to sort this out?

Welcome to Seven Forums musochris. This will be a very difficult problem to fix since it is an intermittent issue, only on your system. What you might try is switching Hotmail to the new Outlook.com interface, and seeing if the problem repeats itself. You can always stay on the new format if you like it, but you can switch back if you do not.

Outlook Blog - Upgrade from Hotmail to Outlook.com

The above site shows you how to switch an existing account, and farther down how to switch back if you want. It does look like sometime in the future they will be switching everyone to the new format.
