".ocx" files are NOT any kind of media files at all. They are in fact binary executable files, most likely ActiveX controls or components, often used with browser plugins. Media Player or even Windows Explorer add-ons use activeX controls.

i,m tryin to run a program called music video 24/7 in windows 7 sidebar and get this information (MB.ocx registration has failed) i tried to do some registration but without successsay

can somebody somebody say in which folder i finde the MB.ocx file and how to register it.........and if its not on my comp where can i find it and how to install and all that

thanks for any reply in advance

Run CMD as Admin, then type "regsvr32 mb.ocx" (without the quotes). Hit enter.

the module mb.ocx fail to load make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problem binary or dependent .DLL file

the specified module could not be found

thats the error i get after trying your method

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit system? If its 64 bit

regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\mb.ocx

So did you type the following in CMD (run as admin) and press enter?

regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\mb.ocx

yes i did.....but it seems mb.ocx is not on this comp so what i would is try to get the file install and register it.......but the file is no where to be found i been searchin google
